Expert Reply:
As long as your 2009 Honda Ridgeline has a 7-Way vehicle end trailer socket that looks similar to part # PK11893, then the Pollak 7-Way Trailer End Connector, # PK12706, will connect to your vehicle.
The connector that you referenced is the trailer side connector and should be connected to the wires on the trailer. I have attached a trailer wiring article for you to check out that will help when installing the 7-way trailer connector on your trailer.
If you do not have a 7-way socket on your vehicle, then you will need to install the 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. This kit will provide you with the 7-way connector at the rear of your vehicle.
The ETBC7 kit will require you to have a 4-way connector at the back of your vehicle. If you do not have a 4-way connector, then you will need to install the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118400, before you install the ETBC7 kit. I have attached the installation instructions for installing this wiring harness on your vehicle.
I have also attached a video of our technician installing a the ETBC7 kit and a T-One wiring harness on a Honda Odyssey. The vehicle is different from yours, but it should give you an idea how they install.
