The install process of the Prodigy P3 # 90195 with the # 3016 in your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 is just like the install video I attached which happens to be the same as the on you referenced. You do not have to run any wires to the rear of the truck as they are already ran from the factory!

The # 3016 plugs into the 4-pin connector in your Chevrolet Silverado 1500's junction box. The box is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, just above the carpeting.

There a few extra steps you'll need to take so I am glad you passed that on so that I can give you the additional info you'll need. To bypass the OEM controller, the blue wire on the # 3016 harness needs to be cut and a new wire will be brought to the rear to your 7-way connector. Measure the harness's blue wire about 4 to 6 inches from the brake controller. Cut the wire and using # 10-1-1, sold by the foot, and # DW05745-5 connect the wire to the brake controller harness. At the 7-way, find the blue wire and cut the blue wire going into the connector. Make sure you yourself enough wire to work with so you can connect the wire you brought from your brake controller.
