Handrail For Use With Lippert SolidStep Entry Steps

Question:

Hello, We currently have SolidStep# LC791574 on our 2016 Cyclone toy hauler. Were thinking wed like to change it to a TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps with Handrails. I see they are offered with 4 steps and up to 6 steps. Do you have to measure the height of the trailer to determine which number of steps to use? Or will it give it an easier climb up the steps if I just use the 6 step model? My moms knees are giving her trouble so I am trying to make the entry steps as gradual and easy as possible along with a good handrail system on both sides if possible. Thank you

We do have handrails that are going to allow for an easier way for your mom to get up the steps and into your 2016 Heartland Cyclone, the issue with changing from the Lippert SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps # LC791574 to a TorkLift GlowStep is the mounting brackets because none of the GlowSteps share the same mounting bracket dimensions as the Lippert steps.

What I recommend instead is keeping your current steps and instead adding a very good handrail, the Lippert Entry Assist Handrail for SolidStep Manual RV Steps # LC799640. This handrail actually installs on the steps so that it is much easier to grasp and use as support than handrails which install on the trailer. These will be the best way to ease a climb up the steps.
