Troubleshooting Brake Controller Not Showing Connection
Question:
I own a 2014 Dodge 4500 6.7 Turbo Diesel Cummins Im pull a big tex 22gn 40 foot trailer. Everything is working except my electric brakes. I have checked every thing on the trailer. Fuse on truck is good. F11, what else could I possibly check? I engaged the brake and all brake lights come on, but no EB. Truck is not recognizing the trailer is connected either.

Have you checked the pins of your 7-ways for corrosion? Typically when this exact problem occurs on trailer wiring the issue is that there's just a bit of corrosion on the 7-way pins which then prevents the output circuit of the controller from making a solid connection. If you take some sandpaper to the pins of the connector you should see the circuit make connection again.
