Right Turn Signal Always Has Power When Testing 4-Way with Circuit Tester

Question:

The tested power to the ground point and it shows 12.3v. On the connector the green wire always shows 12v, the brown show 12v when the headlights are turned on and the yellow shows only about 2.6v when the left turn signal is turned on.

It sounds like you have a classic ground issue with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56348. When testing the 4-Way with a tester like Curt LED 4-Way Flat Connector (Vehicle End) Tester part # I26 the right turn like should only light up when you activate the right turn function. If it is always illuminated like you mentioned, I recommend to make sure the ground wire of the harness is attached to a clean bare metal surface on the frame. If you don't have a proper ground one or more of the functions may have power without being activated. Please let me know if this doesn't work for you and we can troubleshoot further. Thank you for the additional information. It sounds like you definitely have a short that is sending power to the ground wire. It sounds like you have already tested the plug itself with a multimeter like part # BTMT15. The ground should not show power when you test it. First you want to make sure it is grounded to the Tucson's frame to clean bare metal. After you check that, I recommend to check the black wire that you extended to the vehicle's battery for damage or frays. It sounds like to me that the black wire that you extend to the vehicle's battery may have exposed wire and its coming into contact with either the ground wire itself or the vehicle's frame. Trace the black wire up the vehicle checking for any damage or frays because that is the most obvious culprit. If you don't see any exposed wire or damage to the black wire up to the battery then check the rest of the wiring from the harness for damage. Somehow one of the wires is getting power to the ground which is your issue.
