Axle and Hub Solution for Home Made Trailer Using Jeep Wheels with 5 on 5 Bolt Pattern

Question:

I am in need of hub and spindle set to fit rim with a bolt pattern 5 x 127mm and hub bore of 71.5mm. I do not have the axle yet. I am building a trailer to pull with my 2019 Jeep Wrangler. I would like to use the same jeep rims and tires for inter-changeability and ground clearance. The trailer will be single axle with 5x10 deck. I am thinking a torsen axle would be best 2000 to 3000 rating

I have a solution for you, but without having an axle already, I wouldn't have a spindle and conversely the hubs to match it up to. With that being said, I would recommend going with the Timbren Heavy Duty Axle-less Trailer Suspension # ASR2KHDS03 and the etrailer Idler Hub # AKIHUB-550-35-K.

I've seen a lot of Jeep-ers built their off-road trailers using the Timbren Axle-less suspension system and they really do a great job. This system has a completely independent suspension system that allows for the wheels to adjust to the terrain as well as providing no axle under the trailer, which increases your clearance when going over terrain. This will allow you to use a standard set of wheels from a Jeep with the 5 on 5 bolt pattern (5 x 127mm) up to 18". This axle-less suspension is rated for up to 2000-lbs and will provide a great solution that will allow you to pull your trailer off road without any issues.
