One Brake Locks Up on Trailer When Brakes Applied in Tow Vehicle

Front right wheel on trailer tandem locks up when ease on breaks while others keep rolling until complete stop why?

Expert Reply:
One brake locking up on a trailer could be caused by a few different things. It would seem to me that the most likely culprit is that specific brake being out of adjustment. You'll want to adjust the assembly on that brake using the process shown in the attached video (check around the 4:40 mark). You want your brakes to only have a light drag when you turn the wheel by hand.
The other possible cause of this would be that the brake magnets could be worn on one or more axles causing the uneven braking and these would need to be replaced; you'll need a circuit tester like the Cordless Circuit Tester # PTW2979. I have attached a help article on how to test your trailer brake magnets as well that I recommend you check out during the testing process if you have any immediate questions.
