Wheels On Trailer Valet XL Won't Turn When Crank Is Turned
Question:
When valet xl was removed from box and assembled I stood it upright just as I would to hook up to trailer and tried to pull it forward in upright position with brake handle raised but wheels would not engage for me to roll unit at all. I am a 60 yr old female without the strength to carry it a ways outdoors to trailer so what is keeping it from rolling.Directions were read thoroughly and I saw nothing about a way to unlock wheels so it would ccx roll as it should with crank handle upright in low gear.I was cranking handle at time of movement. What am I not doing properly???

The lever/handle at the top of the Trailer Valet XL # TVXL2 is what is going to lock/unlock your wheels, where the crank on the side of the unit is what will get the wheels to move- you're not able to push and pull the Trailer Valet XL since these units are gear driven.
If your wheels will not turn when you're turning the crank and the level at the top of the valet is raised so that the brake is released, it sounds like there might be an issue with the crank shaft or gear drive. If you can lift the wheel off the ground to and work the hand crank that moves the wheels that would be one way to test the operation of this product. If the wheels turn via the hand crank when the wheels are off the ground, this should indicate that it is operating correctly; if the wheels don't turn, but the crank turns, it would seem that here is something wrong with the gear drive shaft on the unit.
If you're not able to get the wheels to turn with the unit off the ground, please let me know and I can tell you a few other things to have a look at to make sure that nothing has come disconnected.
