What Is The Difference Between an Under-Bed and Above-Bed 5th Wheel Base Rail Kit 2019 Ford F-350
Question:
I need a fifth wheel hitch for my 2019 Ford F-350 super duty without the puck system. I keep seeing under-bed and above-bed rails. What does that even mean? what do you suggest?

The difference between the under-bed and above-bed rail kits for the 2019 Ford F-350 is where they install. The above-bed kits like B&W installation rails part # BWRVK2402 will give you 5th wheel rails in the bed of your Ford. If you want the bed of the Ford to be empty when you remove the hitch, you want an under-bed kit so the rails will install under the bed instead of in the bed. I recommend the under-bed kit because it's a cleaner install and you won't have rails in the bed if you want to use it for carrying cargo when your not towing.
I recommend the Reese 27,000 lb capacity M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30922 and installation kit part # RP87FR which will give you OEM style pucks in the bed of the Ford. The Reese M5 hitch is designed with a 4-way pivoting head to make hooking up and unhooking the trailer easier and faster even if you are on unlevel ground compared to the other hitches that may bind. I have attached a review video for your reference.
