The Atwood 84132 was designed for use with drum brakes, so for a qualified replacement, you'll want something compatible with a 3 inch trailer tongue with a 6K capacity, accepts a 2 inch ball and provides an electric lockout.

Demco doesn't offer an 'off the shelf' exact replacement with a electric reverse solenoid because most folks just use free-backing brakes, in which case the # DM72VR you mentioned would work just fine. If you do NOT have free backing brakes, you can indeed use the # DM72VR actuating coupler, but add the # DM11993 solenoid and the # DM12267-95 solenoid cover, which would provide you everything you're looking for, the capacity, ball size compatibility and an electric lockout.
