Hidden Trailer Hitch and Easy Wiring Recommendation for 2019 Kia Sorento LX
Question:
I have a Forest River R-Pod travel trailer that I want to pull with my 2019 Kia Sorento LX V6. I see several options for hitches and electrical, is one better than the other or are they all pretty much the same, just different brands? I would prefer the hitch be hidden as much as possible.

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7320 is the only hitch available for your 2019 Kia Sorento LX that features a hidden crossctube design. It has a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs and a tongue weight rating of 525 lbs which should work well to tow your R-Pod travel trailer. The installation is also pretty straight forward; if you're mechanically inclined, it should only take about 40 minutes to complete. Check out the installation video I've linked for you at the bottom of the page.
For a wiring harness, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector
Item # 118583 because it's the most reliable and if you don't have a factory tow package, also the easiest to install. IT simply tees into your vehicle's wiring harness which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will need to run a hot lead to the battery with the included wire.
That being said, if you opted for the factory tow package, then that part has already been done for you and you can then use Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package Item # HM11143965 instead. To secure the 4-Pole flat connector on either harness, you can use the Eclipse Magnetic Mounting Bracket # 306-X6019 which installs in seconds.
Lastly, for a kit that has it all, I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches # C45534. The kit includes a ball mount with a pre-torqued hitch ball; hitch pin and clip; hitch receiver lock with keys; hitch cover; and a storage case.
