Curt notes in the installation instructions that it will take a pro about 40 minutes to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13186 on your 2017 Ford Escape, but if you're a novice that time will likely double to 80 minutes. If you aren't quite a pro but you've installed trailer hitches before then you can plan on any time in-between that.
Attached is a link to the installation instructions as well as an installation video that we took on a '17 Escape like what you have. I have also added some pictures of what it looks like after the installation.
If you let me know what you plan on using the trailer hitch for I can make some recommendations for you.
