Jeep Wrangler Tie Down Recommendation

Question:

I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler with 35" tires. Brown is its favorite color My enclosed trailer has E Channel running the length of the floor. The Jeep weights 4500 pounds. Would this strap option work to secure the Jeep. I am going to purchase four straps. Thanks

Thanks for your pictures! That's what Wranglers are meant for.

At 4500 pounds, the weight of the secured cargo would exceed the combined safe working load limit of 1,100lbs per tire of the straps being used on the Erickson E-Track Tie-Down Kit w/ 2 Ratchet Straps with Roller Idlers and 2 Wheel Chocks EM58523-09162.

I would instead recommend the Erickson Car Tie-Down Kit # 08504-05. These straps feature twisted flat hooks that will help to keep the strap straight and flat along with axle straps to help secure the vehicle into place. They have a safe working load limit of 3,300 pounds and a maximum load of 10,000 pounds.

If you still need chocks, the Erickson E-Chock Wheel Chocks for E-Track # EM09162-2 should work fine with the echannel in your trailer.

So 4 of these straps are not sufficient to secure a 5000lb vehicle? Why are they pictured being used on a Denali in your listing for them?

@Chris I reviewed the Q&A page you are commenting on and the information seems correct to me. The Erickson # EM58523-09162 kit with 2 straps will hold 1100 pounds each totalling 2200 pounds. If you use 4 of these straps you can control 8800 pounds The Erickson # 08504-05 kit with one strap is rated for 3300 pounds. If you use four of these straps youcan control 13,200 pounds. I could not find a reference to a Denali.
