Do Trailer Lights Sparking Create a Short

I had power to the rear connector for trailer lights , when I was wiring the trailer lights 2 wires touched ,sparked and I havent had power to trailer since,truck I have lights though

Yes, the reason the lights on your trailer are not getting power is because you created a short when the wires touched. You will need to replace the wire that shorted with the wire gauge you were using, likely 16 gauge # 16-1-1, 14 gauge # DW07550-1 or 12 gauge # 12-1-1. You will need to use Heat Shrink Butt Connector - 16-14 Gauge # DW05744-5 or 12-10 Gauge # DW05745-5 and Heat Gun # ALL836717 if you don't have one.
