Draw-Tite Hitch and Rola TX-103 Bike Rack Recommendation for a Honda CRV 2012
Question:
will the TH911XT be safe to put on my Honda CRV 2012? I already own the bike rack, but have a new car..

I checked with Thule and the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier # TH911XT will not work on your 2012 Honda CRV. The reason Thule gives is because the lower straps can not be mounted in a safe place.
The best option you have at this point for transporting bikes would be to use a hitch mounted bike rack. If you do not have a hitch on your vehicle already you will need one. For that I recommend you get a Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75742. I attached installation instructions for this hitch for you to check out.
There are other trunk mounted bike racks that could work on your vehicle, but using a hitch mounted rack would benefit you more because once you have a hitch you could tow a trailer or carry a cargo carrier in the future as well.
For a bike rack that is similar to the TH911XT I would recommend you get a SportRack Pathway Deluxe 3 Bike Rack # SR2703. This rack has rotating, plate-style cradles securely hold your bikes by the top tubes. I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.
If you plan on carrying womens or alternative framed bikes you may be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also.
