Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2018 Kia Sorento
Question:
Want to buy a trailer hitch and wiring harness for my 2018 Kia Sorento awd . Wiring is in back on driver's side in a little compartment with caps on them. What hitch and harness do I need?

I highly recommend using the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75908 for your 2018 Kia Sorento because it has a tab welded on so that the wiring harness looks very clean when installed.
For wiring I recommend using a Tekonsha option because it is the most reliable options we have. If you have the factory tow package use part # HM11143965 but if you don't have the factory tow package use part # 118583. You can then use the Mounting Bracket # 18144 to mount the 4-Way connector directly to the Draw-Tite trailer hitch.
It sounds like you will be using this equipment for towing. To complete a towing setup you also need a ball mount kit. I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900 because it includes two ball mounts, one with a 3/4” rise/2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise/4” drop, a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You will want to refer to the attached ball mount article to ensure that this kit is correct for your towing application.
I have attached some installation videos for the trailer hitch and wiring options that you can check out as well.
