Recommended Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System for 2015 Airstream Flying Cloud 23D
Question:
We want to purchase an Equalizer Hitch and Sway Bars for our trailer. Our Airstream is 6000 GVW, Tongue Weight of 600-900, 2 5/16inch coupler. Equalizer suggests a 12K Hitch: #90-00-1200 and Ball: #91-00-6120. Do we order # EQ37120ET? Do we need anything else? Thanks!!!

You are certainly on the right track and heading in the right direction!
The tongue weight range you mention puts you right in the middle of two possible choices of systems. As a first step, I'd recommend trying to get a better handle on the actual as-towed tongue weight of your Airstream. Since each system is effective for a range of tongue weights, the more exact you can be about the trailer's tongue weight, the better your system will perform. I will link you to a help article that lists several different ways to definitively find the as-towed tongue weight. Also, don't forget to add to that tongue weight figure the weight of anything stowed in the tow vehicle behind the rear axle. Weight distribution systems are effective over a 300-500 range of tongue weights, ideally, you want your trailer's tongue weight to fall as close as possible to the middle of that range.
If your as-towed tongue weight is in the to the lower end of that 600-900 lb range you mentioned, I'd recommend going with the 1000 lb rated system, part # EQ37100ET which is best for tongue weights between 600-1000 lbs. If you're at the higher end of that range, go with # EQ37120ET, which is recommended for tongue weights between 800-1200 lbs.
Both systems include the 2-5/16 inch trailer ball you mentioned and the weight distributing shank. You'll need a 1-7/8 inch thin-walled socket to easily install the trailer ball, we offer one as part # EQ70-00-4800.
