do you need to replace the spindle nut each time to hub is removed on a 6000 lb. nev-r-lube axle

You do not need to replace the Spindle Nut # 6-183 for your Nev-R-Lube axles every time that you remove the hub. The only time you need to replace it is when it isn't functional anymore. I reached out to my contact at Dexter Axle who confirmed this.

Normally we use channel locks for spindle nuts. But the Nev-R-Lube hubs are a different animal. You will need a 1-7/16 inch 6 or 12 point socket for a Nev-R-Lube nut #6-183. When you are ready to reinstall it you will need a torque wrench capable of…
