Should Anti-Rattle Device be Used on Hitch Extension and Spare Wheel/Tire Carrier
Question:
I want to use the curt c45795 ext. with curt # c31006 do I need a anti rattle device on both. Thanks

Expert Reply:
Using an anti rattle device on both the extension part # C45795 and the spare carrier part # C31006 would be ideal as you'd have quite a bit of movement without doing so. Between the extension and the carrier, you can use the part # 63232 since the carrier has a hollow shank. Then since the extension has a solid shank, you'd need to use a U-bolt style anti-rattle like the part # RM-061 and you'd be set.
The # 63232 doubles as a hitch lock so for a standard hitch pin lock for the extension so that it's all totally locked up you could use the # BD580412.
