The towing capacity of a 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn (Crew Cab, 5' 7" Bed, 5.7 Engine, A8 Transmission) is 8,010 lbs if you have the 3.21 axle ratio or 10,160 lbs if you have the 3.92 axle ratio. The axle ratio can be found listed on the sticker inside your passenger glove box most likely. The type of trailer does not matter so long as the loaded weight is below the above figure. I have attached some parts you will need to tow as well.
Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16115
Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit part # C16306-204
Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness part # C56070
Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller part # C51170
Curt Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers part # C51458
Please note, you will also need to install a rotating pin box on the trailer for turning clearance but these are pin box specific so I will need to know what the pin box model number is on the trailer in order to confirm. I have attached a list of options below.
