Trailer Hitch Fit for a 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 Passenger Model with Step Bumper

Question:

Will this fit a 2016 Sprinter Passenger Van, 2500, 144. Ive read reviews some are having trouble with fit. If so, can step be left on or does it have to be removed. If not a good fit for passenger, is there a better model? Measurement looks to be apx. 41" for outside rails. It was hard to get the tape in a straight line. Trying to make sure motorcycle rack will fit. Need to know how far the the 2inch male square is inset from step outside edge. In other words how far back is the point from the edge of the bumper. Also, how far is the pin from the outside edge of the tube. Hopefully that is clear and you might have an idea. Thank you

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75601 is a fit for your 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 and the only option we have for you at this time. The factory step bumper can be left installed and you will not need to make any modifications to this. I spoke with Draw-Tite to make sure it would fit the Passenger Model and they said it would no problem.

In regards to clearance, we have not yet installed this yet so I don't have exact measurements from the bumper but what I do have is the distance from the rearmost mounting hole on the vehicle (on center) to the end of the receiver tube and that is 13". The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the receiver tube is 2-1/2". For a motorcycle carrier, we have the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier part # e98873 which should work for you and it is lightweight yet heavy duty.
