Why Is 2015 Ram 1500 Trailer Wiring Circuits Not Functioning  

Question:

I have no lights for my trailer. The connector on has power for 12v charger, brakes for the trailer, and left turn and brake. so I went to the fuse box and no fuses blown. also have no power in the fuse box to the rt turn/brake or running lights.

On your 2015 Ram 1500 the TIPM is responsible for powering the trailer wiring/lighting circuits and when the circuits stop working the recommended Ram solution is to take it in to a dealer to have them reset the TIPM.

Since you can only reset the TIPM so many times before you have to replace it a lot of people will bypass it and go with a hardwired trailer wiring solution. All you will need is the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit # 119178KIT along with 4-Pole to 7-Pole Adapter # 37185 if you do not have a brake controller or # ETBC7 if you do have a brake controller.
