Does Trailer Hitch Install for 2005 Honda Pilot EXL Require Lowering Exhaust

Question:

Does the exhaust system on my 2005 Pilot have to temporarily be lowered to install a Class III hitch that fits this vehicle? thanks!

Yes, the exhaust hangers of your 2005 Honda Pilot do need to get removed to install the etrailer.com hitch part # e98851 that you referenced (and all other hitches that would fit your vehicle). The entire exhaust does not need get removed though as it's just the rubber hangers that hold the exhaust at the rear of the vehicle. This is a very common step for installing hitches and is not overly difficult at all.
