Reese Goose Box Compatible With Lippert 1116 Pin Box

Question:

Is there a goose box to replace a Lippert 1116? Also, is the cab clearance the same with a goose box as it is with the 1116 fifth wheel?

The Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter part # RP85FR will replace the Lippert 1116 pin box if you use the Spacer Kit for Rotating Turret for 5th Airborne and Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pins part # RP61301. The adapter will work with a 2-5/6" goose neck ball and has a towing capacity of 20,000 lbs.

The angle of the Reese Goose Box can be adjusted for bed rail clearance but the cab clearance will be the same as your Lippert 1116 pin box. The Goose Box is designed to adapt the fifth wheel king pin to a goose neck ball and absorb road shock for a more comfortable ride. If you needed more clearance for turning you could use an offset goose neck ball if one is available. You can tell me which goose neck setup you have and I can check.
