Best Trailer Tire To Replace 245/75-17.5 Tire On Car Hauler  

Question:

I leased a trailer from a friend for 4Car Haulage. For the past 2 weeks i had 3 blow outs the third today. Frustrated. I bought 2 used costing me $200 had to buy one brand new now $230 so that i can just deliver the 3 Cars I am yet to deliver. The size is 245/75/17.5. Where can i get good tyre and make I live in Houston.

I recommend Provider 235/75R17.5 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range J part # P35175 to replace the 245/75/17.5 tires on that axle. You do want to replace both tires on the same axle with these because the tread is about 10mm thinner then the 245/75/17.5 tires that you have.

The Provider 235/75R17.5 has a weight capacity of 6,005 lbs at 127 psi and 5,675 lbs at 127 psi when used in a dual application. You want to make sure you are running these tires and the others at max PSI to ensure they do not overheat which can lead to blow outs.
