In general the trunnion weight distribution system offer better ground clearance and are can be rated higher (if needed) so they tend to be the preferred option. Round bars typically are a little less expensive but the better ground clearance makes the trunnion the better route. Now 4 point vs. 2 point refers to the amount of places the system has friction which helps reduce sway caused by passing semis and high winds. The more the better so a 4 point system would outperform a 2 point.
So next let's talk about how to pick out the proper rated system as they aren't all one-size-fits all applications.
The key is picking out a system that has a tongue weight range where your trailer's loaded tongue weigh falls right near the middle of if possible. For at trailer that weighs 7,000 lbs your tongue weight will most likely be between 700 and 1,000 lbs so the system I recommend the highest is the Trunnion Strait Line part # RP66084 which has a tongue weight range of 600 to 1,200 lbs and has the only and best type of sway control that works to fight and prevent sway before it starts instead of like the point systems we talked about earlier that only try to stop it once it's started.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
