Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch Install Kit 2008 Dodge Ram Mega Cab

What kits will fit my 2008 ram big horn 1500. 6 ft bed. I have reese16k fixed fifthwheel. Thank you.

Although it's not absolutely necessary, I will usually recommend that folks use a hitch and mounting rails from the same company. The hitch and install kit were specifically engineered to work together, to there will be no surprises or fit issues.

Since you're using a Reese hitch, I'll recommend Reese bracket/rail kits. The exact kit needed will depend on whether your Ram Big Horn 1500 is a Mega Cab model or not, as well as whether you want a semi-custom install kit that doesn't require any drilling into the truck's frame or a less-expensive universal kit. A custom install kit will typically shave an hour or two off the installation time, so depending on how busy you typically are, that price difference could be money well spent.

If you have the Mega Cab, for a semi-custom install kit, use part # RP30035-023. For the custom kit, go with # RP50140-58.

If you do NOT have the Mega Cab, you would use the same # RP30035-023 for the semi-custom kit or # RP50040-58 for the custom kit.
