Adapting Existing 4-Pole on 2005 Chevy Equinox to 7-Way Plug on 2003 Coleman Taos Camper  

Question:

i have a 7-pole male end on my 2003 coleman taos camper....i have part # 118391 custom fit wiring for my 2005 chevy equinox...i cant figure out how to connect from 4-pole male - 7 pole reciever....need help please...

You would need an adapter like part # 37185 to convert the existing 4-pole connector to a 7-way.

The adapter has a 4-pole connector on it that would plug into the existing 4 pole on your vehicle, with 4 additional wires that would need to be connected (see provided photo).

If your camper is equipped with electric brakes, you will need a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90085 to actuate them. Using our Brake Controller Install Kit, # ETBC7 would be your best bet in this case because it includes the # 37185 adapter mentioned above. In addition to the adapter, the Kit contains all necessary hardware, wire and circuit breakers to complete the installation.
