Trailer Observation Camera Will Not Pair/Stay On While Using 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

I have a 2019 chevy pickup and an airstream trailer with a voyager camera which only works intermittently. I wonder if a lamp out sensor adapter #20142 would solve this problem?

The issue as I am sure you are aware of is that the trailer lighting circuits on a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 do not send enough voltage to the running light circuit to power the observation system camera. As of September 2019, neither Furrion or Voyager have came out with a fix for this but I do know Furrion said they would have an adapter which should work with the Voyager system as well in late October 2019. In the meantime, the Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor part # 20142 would be a good option and I do believe it will fix this issue but we have not yet tested this. The only other fix for this solution would be to run the camera power wire to the 12 volt battery charge line circuit on the trailer connector.

I bought the Furrion part # FOS05TASF to install on my 2019 Prime Time Lacrosse trailer hitched to a 2019 Silverado High Country. The mfg has a prewire camera connection and mount for a Palomino camera that is not compatible with Furrion. I get that the mount will need swapped for the Furrion mount but is any of the prewire useable for my new dc source to splice into or will I just push it aside and jumper the running lights and suffer the low voltage issue mentioned above?

The Furrion Vision S # FOS05TASF can definitely be used on your trailer, but I don't think you will be able to utilize the pre-wired bracket. You'll just need to hardwire the power lead to the running lights circuit on the trailer.
