When choosing an appropriate weight distribution system, we take into consideration the loaded tongue weight of a trailer. Weight distribution systems work with a specific tongue weight range and it's important your loaded tongue weight falls as close to the middle of that range as possible.

Based on the specs provided, I'm calculating your fully loaded tongue weight to be around 1,000 lbs. This is an approximation which can be affected depending on how you distribute the extra cargo and should also include any weight that's behind the rear axle of the towing vehicle.

The Curt TruTrack # C17500 with a tongue weight range between 800 lbs - 1,000 lbs is a good option. However, the included shank offers a maximum drop of only 1/2 inch which likely won't be enough to allow you to tow level, within the 2-3 inch "safe zone" but you can purchase an appropriate shank separately. I have attached an article explaining how to measure to determine the appropriate rise/drop needed as well as a page where you can browse through all our available weight distribution shanks.

An even better option is the Reese Steadi-Flex # RP66560 with a 600 lbs - 1,200 lbs tongue weight range perfectly suited for your Dutchmen Coleman. The included shank offers a maximum drop of 4 inches. The sway control brackets install 27 to 32 inches back from the center of the ball on either side of the frame so I strongly suggest measuring to make sure there won't be any interference with other components such as gas tanks or battery boxes. For a compatible ball you can use # A-90 for a 2 inch or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball.
