Availability of Complete Dexter Replacement Axle with Self Adjusting Brake Assemblies
Question:
Can I get them with self adjusting brakes? I am replacing both axles so I can have breaks. With these will also have to change wheels to fit the new parts. The trailor has old mobile axles and break plates are shot.

Dexter doesn't supply the axle with the Nev-R-Adjust brake assemblies, but you could purchase the Axle, Drums and Brake Assemblies separately to achieve what you're looking for. Here's what you'd need:
-6K Trailer Axle Beam, 89" hub face, 74" spring center spacing # 8327830
-2 ea Dexter Hub/Drum, part # 8-201-9UC3-EZ (or a lower-cost AxleTek version, part # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K), Both hubs include the necessary bearings, races, grease seals, EZ-Lube dust cap and lug nuts.
-Dexter # 23-458-459 12x2 Nev-R-Adjust brake assemblies sold in a quantity of 2. AxleTek also sells a version as part # AKEBRK-7-SA
The AxleTek hub/drums and brake assemblies are a decent choice at a considerable cost savings.
The hubs are compatible with a 6 lug on 5-1/2 inch bolt circle, so if your existing wheels use a different bolt pattern, you would indeed need to swap out the wheels as well.
