Availability of Hanging Style Bike Rack for Carbon Frames
Question:
Ive heard that carbon fiber frame bicycle will get damaged from hanger type bike racks, but the Thule site seems to suggest that this model is fine. What experience do you have with hanger style racks and carbon bikes?

You are right that most hanging-style racks aren't approved for use with carbon frame bikes but Thule does indeed list the Thule Apex XT 4 Bike Rack # TH9025XT in particular as being compatible with the softer frames. This is due to the specific design of the cradles that provides a soft resting point for the frame to keep everything safe and secure during travel.
Now with that being said, we haven't had any specific customer feedback regarding the use of this rack with carbon frame models, and if I'm being completely honest I would be a bit hesitant to put any kind of stress onto carbon frames, even if the support cradles are as soft as pillows. We have a nice selection of bike racks that will let you properly secure your bikes without touching the frames at all and this is the route I recommend taking.
If you need a 4-Bike rack I really like the Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH69TX that features ratcheting hooks that hold the bikes by their front wheels (without any frame contact) and extra large wheel cradles that allow for easy loading. The convenient lever lets you tilt the rack down (with the bikes still loaded) for quick rear cargo access and locks are included to help protect your investments. This is compatible with 2 inch hitch receivers. I have attached a couple short video demonstrations that you can check out as well. This also comes in a 2-bike version # TH83JV.
