Plug-In Brake Controller for 2017 Audi Q7 With Factory 7-Way
Question:
C51140 If I have the towing package on my 2017 Audi Q7 and I found the wire under my dash to plug the controller into would I need any extra wiring with this controller? Would you recommend this for an Audi Q7, or is there a better option? I would just be pulling a trailer under 25 ft. and 5500 pounds.

There is an option I recommend, but according to the information we currently have, you will still need extra wiring if you want to use an in-cab brake controller with your 2017 Audi Q7.
To avoid the extra wiring, I highly recommend the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 which requires no extra wiring and you also get to avoid having a bulky unit inside the cab of your Q7. The Echo will simply plug into the 7-way on the back of your 2017 Audi Q7, as you can see by the accompanying photo a customer sent in using the Echo.
There is no other wiring necessary and the only thing you would need in order to use it is a smartphone. Just download the Echo's app, which you use to set up the brake controller and you'll be set! This is a proportional brake controller which responds to the deceleration of your vehicle for smooth and responsive braking.
I have added a link to a video review of the Curt Echo # C51180 for you to check out so you can see for yourself just how easy it is to use.
