Trailer Tire Upgrade Recommendation for 2017 Prolite Mini with 175/75R14 Tires
Question:
Im looking to upgrade the wheels and tires on my 2017 Prolite Mini Trailer. Stock tires come within 175/75R14s. Looking to get bigger, beefier tires for mix of highway and and all-terrain. Am I able to get AT tires in 14 or 15?

Your 175/75R14 tire is not a very common trailer tire but I was able to calculate its dimensions. It measures approximately 24.3 inches in overall diameter and has a width of 6.9 inches with the wheel mounted and the tire inflated to specs.
The closest size up is either a 205/75-14 or a 215/75-14 as shown in the diagram I have attached for you.
A great radial option in the 205/75-14 size is the Kenda Karrier # AM10235. It is 8.1 inches wide so it will only take up about a half inch extra on the inside and outside and will add about 2 inches to your overall diameter.
To determine if it will work, you will need to measure your clearances on your trailer and confirm the width of your wheel is within the rim width range listed on the chart.
We carry both radial and bias ply tires. A bias ply tire has a stiffer sidewall than a radial, making it better suited only for off-road applications. A radial tire flexes more than a bias tire giving it better ground contact, traction, stability, and tread wear - all things you want for frequent highway use. A radial tire will also last longer because it remains cooler and it can take on the occasional bumpy road. For those reasons, I recommend you stick with a radial tire like what you have now.
