What is Needed to Install Primus IQ Brake Controller on 2017 Audi Q7 With Factory 7-Way

I have a 2017 Audi Q7 what all would I need to install this unit and will this unit work? I have read I might need extra wiring?

Assuming you have the factory 7-way on your 2017 Audi Q7, you can install the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160, though you are correct that you will need extra wiring.
According to the tech bulletin - which I linked for you - to install a wired brake controller to your '17 Q7 you will need to see your Audi dealer and get (qty. 1) #1J0-972-782 housing and (qty. 2) #000-979-228 wire/terminal assemblies.
