Which Load Range Tire for Utility Trailer Carrying 2 ATVs
Question:
I carry 2 polaris 850 machines on a Monroe trailer. They weigh about 750# a piece. Load range C or D?
asked by: Dan B
Expert Reply:
The load range of tire you need will depend on the weight of your empty trailer. Two load range C wheel/tires like # AM3H370 would have a 2200 lb combined capacity per axle. Two load range D, such as the # AM3H410 you had looked at would have a combined capacity of 2640 lbs. The weight of the load plus the trailer should not exceed the tire's load capacity. In order to achieve their full capacity, the tires should be fully inflated to the air pressure listed on the tire sidewall.
