Solution for Gaining Tailgate Clearance with Trailer Hooked Up
Question:
Can the head be rotated 90 degrees? My tailgate barely cleared the OEM jack and this one is larger-closer towards TV. 2015 Grey Wolf 26DBH with 2014 Ram 1500. Ram tailgate flares out towards A frame. If this doesnt rotate, which jack does and also has manual crank backup?

The head by itself on the etrailer.com Electric Jack w/ Footplate # EJ-3520-BBX cannot be rotated, however you could potentially rotate the entire jack (the mounting holes are asymmetric) on the trailer A-Frame to see if that provides the needed tailgate clearance.
Another good option to gain tailgate clearance with this or your existing OEM jack is to simply use a longer ball mount like the Brophy # EA40. This will work to push the trailer further back from the rear of your truck so the jack is out of the way. This particular ball mount measures 14-5/8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole.
I have attached a link that will take you to our complete selection of longer ball mounts that you can also look through. We don't currently have any electric jacks equipped with a head that can be rotated.
