Can a Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch Be Used On a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic with 5-1/2 Foot Bed

Yes, you can use a sliding 5th wheel hitch like the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30051 on your 2019 Ram 1500 Classic in order to tow a 5th wheel trailer. That said, even while the hitch is slid back you still might not be able to make a full 90 degree turn because of the short bed length. In order to install the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch you will also need the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50142-58.
If you want to be able to make full 90 degree turns then your only option is a fixed 5th wheel hitch like the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30047 with a rotating pin box like the Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret part # RP61422 (Please Provide Trailer VIN To Confirm Fit).
