What is the Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen
Question:
The technician was asking if this was a CQT wiring harness. I told him it was specifically for a 2012 VW Jetta Sportwagen. That according to the cust svc rep it had been tested to work on our car. Do you know what he is talking about? Thanks

The technician may have been asking if the harness was a certified Volkswagen part. The acronym CQT could stand for certified quality technician.
He may have also be talking about the way the converter interfaces with the wiring on the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen. The vehicle may have what is called pulse width modulation. This means it sends different voltages back to the tail lights for the different functions.
The # C59496 harness is compatible with pulse width modulation systems. I have included a couple of links that will help explain the installation.
