Adjusting the Hopkins Backup Sensor System to View Closer to the Back of a 2011 Toyota Venza
Question:
I have just installed the sensor on my 2011 Toyota Venza. The top of the sensor is 36inch off the ground. No matter how I adjust the sensors, it will not see anything less than about 18inch tall no matter how close or far. Even tried adjusting one sensor upward and the other downward to no avail. Need suggestions Thanks

Expert Reply:
What you could do is put something behind just the top of the unit between where it mounts and the back of it. This will produce a more downward angle and give you coverage closer to your 2011 Toyota Venza. You can also try turning the unit 180 degrees so the senors are on the bottom but that might cut the angle of visibility down for the sensors.
