Recommended Trailer Hitch and 4 Bike Rack for 2019 Honda Odyssey

Hello. Just got a new van - 2019 Honda Odyssey - and needing a way to transport our bikes. We need a trailer hitch and the bike rack to attach it to. 4 bikes. Ready go to on adventures! Please list your recommendations. THank you.

We have exactly what you need to set your new Honda Odyssey up for adventures on the trails!

Starting with the trailer hitch I strongly recommend the Draw-Tite Class III # 76170 because of its hidden-crosstube design that allows only the 2 inch receiver to be seen from the rear. This lets you maintain a sleek OEM appearance on your brand new van while also improving ground clearance for a bike rack (see attached image). The hitch has more than enough capacity for a loaded bike rack and all the necessary hardware is included.

Then for a bike rack I really like Thule Camber 4 Bike Rack # TH9056 that will give you easy rear cargo access with its tilting design, and uses an anti rattle hitch bolt to tighten the rack inside the hitch receiver for a smooth and quite ride. It can handle 4 bikes that weigh up to 37.5 lbs each.

If you happen to have any children's, women's, or alternative frame bike you might also need an adapter bar like the Kuat # UB01. What this does is provide a horizontal attachment point for level transport or improved ground clearance. I have attached a video demonstration on the bar so you can see exactly how it's used and why it might be needed.
