Can the Stromberg Carlson Folding Handrail Be Used In a Shower

Question:

Would this hand rail work mounted to a stud next to the shower where the swinging mechanism meant for storage/travel work to swing in front of the shower? Does it lock in the storage position? We have a regular plastic/fiberglassshower n I’m trying to provide a handrail like under the faucet/sprayer in the shower for my father to use. Thanks for ur help,

The Stromberg Carlson Folding Handrail part # AC-300 will absolutely work inside your shower as a handrail you would just need to find a sturdy way to mount this. The handle is made of anodized aluminum so you don't have to worry about rust either. I do however recommend you add the Dura Grip Replacement Soft Rubber Grip part # AM-01 for use in the shower. It can be locked in both the open and closed position.
