Troubleshooting Curt C56225 Trailer Wiring Harness Installation on 2010 Nissan Frontier
Question:
I bought the wiring harness and installed everything, but as soon as I plug the brown relay there is a sort of pinging noise coming from under the hood even when the key is out. Have you ever heard such issue?

I checked with Curt Manufacturing, and found that they've never heard of this occurring before. Our best guess is that the relay jumper harness was plugged into the wrong connector behind the kick panel in the passenger foot well. There is quite a bit of wiring in that small area, some of which might be hidden behind insulation so look for another 12 pin connector. Also, the connector you're looking for should be empty, not already plugged into something else.
