What Year Ford F-150 Would Have Enough Capacity to Tow 12,000 lb Fifth Wheel Trailer
Question:
Im looking to up grade to a fifth wheel camper. My truck i have now wont tow the 12000lbs im looking to tow. Im wondering if a f150 ecoboost 3.5 would be able to get the job done. If not any suggestions on size of truck to start looking for.

In 2018 Ford up-rated the towing capacity of the version of the Ford F-150 with the 3.5 liter ecoboost engine to being 13,200 lbs from the previous year which was 12,200 lbs.
If your goal was to tow a 12,000 lb trailer with an F-150 you'd need a 2018 or newer 3.5 liter ecoboost and you'd be set.
So if you go that route the best option would be a long bed truck so that you can get away with not having to use a slider hitch to make tight turns. You could use a fixed hitch like the Reese 16k Hitch part # RP30047 with a custom fifth wheel rail kit part # RP50087-58 and you'd be set.
