Orientation of Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers Installed on Camper Trailer

Question:

Hi there, interested in the Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers - 22-1/2inch Jack Clearance for my SUV and square travel trailer. I know this rack attaches in between the car and the trailer, can I attach this to the trailer as to not block the back door on the SUV? I see a product photo showing the rack attached to the back of the car and then a customer photo showing the rack attached to the trailer mount. Are both options? Just trying to figure out the best rack to not block access without going the roof rack route. Thanks! Photo of my square camper attached.

I attached a picture that shows the correct way to install the Lippert Jack-it bike rack part # LC429756 that you referenced. We do not recommend installing it in any different way if you are towing with it. There is a way to use it in a trailer hitch if you weren't towing but that wouldnt' work for your application. Most likely you'd still have access to the rear cargo door but it may be limited slightly. It's harder to say.
