Comparing Dual Hitch Adapters to Carry Accessory While Towing
Question:
Can you offer reasons Roadmaster hitch adapters are considered premium, and cost 2-5 times similar products by other companies? Thickness of the steel, extra features, replacement warranty?

I think what you are trying to compare are adapters like the Roadmaster # RM-077-6 and the Curt # D-192.
While these look very similar and they help to accomplish similar tasks (adding a bike rack or cargo carrier to your towing application), they are actually built differently. Sure part of the cost difference is due to the name of the company and such but the Roadmaster option is designed for flat towing and can't be used for towing a trailer. You can actually use either of the receivers for flat towing or your bike rack/cargo carrier.
The Curt option is designed specifically for towing a trailer and you can't use the extra receiver for that. The extra receiver is meant to only be used for your accessory so you can't flit the adapter upside down and use it that way.
So even though they seem to be similar items they are actually pretty different due to how they are designed to be used. If you are looking at a different brand of adapter that is designed for flat towing please let me know and I can look into it further.
