Available Door Parts for 2018 Jayco Jay Flight 28RLS Travel Trailer

Question:

Good Morning, I was reading some of the information on your site and am hoping you help me. We purchased the above trailer new recently. The rear screen door had a large gap at the top 2-3 inches which we didn’t notice at the time as it was a cold day and we closed the exterior door behind us. At any rate, we took the trailer back to the dealer and they were to order the proper size door. Instead they simply moved the door up to close the gap at the top. Well now the gap is at the bottom. The door has a brush on the bottom which is quite long but even so you can still see through this to the outside. This doesn’t make sense to me as it allows dirt, bugs and cold air to get in. I have taken a rough measurement of the current door but wonder if you provide me with the size of the door that should be on this particular trailer. I have looked in our manual and on line and cannot find specs for the screen door size. This will help make our point with the dealer. They initially told me the door was the wrong size but are now stalling on correcting this issue. Anything you can provide will be very helpful. Thank you.

We do sell RV screen door parts like latches like # LC201471, slides like # A77018 and push bars like # CAM42188, all shown on the linked page, but not complete doors since design and construction details vary so much between trailer brands, series and models.

I wish we had a way to look up all the component parts of your 2018 Jayco Jay Flight 28RLS tandem-axle trailer trailer but OEM parts like doors are either fabricated or sourced by the trailer maker, Jayco, and to confirm the correct screen door you will need to contact them with your VIN.

I have to agree that on a new and just-purchased trailer having an incorrect size screen door is both a nuisance and something the dealer should have corrected before you took delivery. I spoke to Jayco and they confirmed that you should give them a call a.s.a.p. with your trailer VIN. My contact indicated that they may well be able to correct this issue under warranty.
