My Strom berg Carlson vg-97-4000 tailgate will not unlock

If the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate part # VG-97-4000 will not unlock then you will need to remove the cover from the back, take off the prop rods from each side of the slide bar, and then turn the lock by hand. Once you have the tailgate open remove then end pieces to make sure the cables are attached correctly. If the lock ends up being the culprit we have the Replacement Tailgate Lock for Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate part # 7455-415.
