Can Electric Brakes Be Installed On a Boat Trailer with 3,500 Lb Axle
Question:
can they be installed on a boat trailer ?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Assembly Kit part # 23-468-469 can be used on a boat trailer. In fact, most boat trailers now come from the factory with electric brakes as they are much more cost effective. I assume your trailer does not already have electric brakes so that means you are also going to need the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # 845476UC3, the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit part # HS381-9000, and the Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit part # 20099 as this would give you everything that you need to install electric brakes on your boat trailer.
