What Is the Correct SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps For a 28-1/2 Inch Wide Doorway

Threshold width is 29inch from post to post, 28.5inch from trim to trim. Height is 34. 1. Is the LC678040 OK for this? 2. Some commenters indicate a problem shutting the door with a screen door? Is there a way to predict this problem? Thanks.

The correct set of SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps for your trailer is part # LC678044. According to Lippert, you will need to measure your door frame width and then round up to the nearest even number which in your case is 30" which is why the above is correct for you. I have attached a photo to assist.

In regards to compatibility with a screen door, this is hard to predict but the majority of our customers have told us that it works just fine. There are however some who have had to make slight modifications to the door bar but I have not heard of them not being able to be used together at all before.
